  1. I don't think DISH Network and Blockbuster missed the boat. I think it was a great start to introduce their new streaming services with their customers so they can get a feel for it and attract new subscribers as well. I have tons of friends who had a Netflix account and a DISH Network subscription or other TV provider so this definitely made it easier for those of us that were paying separate companies each month. I already subscribe and work with DISH Network so it was easy for me to sign up and I must say I really do like what the package is offering. Now I get the luxury of getting all my entertainment needs taken care of from one company. Plus they do have plans in the future for non-DISH customer’s in the future so stay tuned, if not new subscribers to DISH can get the Blockbuster Movie Pass free for an entire year.

  2. Thanks for the user feedback Alyssa. Perhaps this is working out as you say. None the less my main point was Dish could have taken a much bigger market share away from Netflix with a stand alone service right out of the gate.
